It is with pleasure that we provide our digital version of our 2017-18 Annual Report.

The report explains how the Crawford Fund has been enhancing public awareness of the mutual benefits of investment in international agricultural research; supporting practical, highly focused instruction to build capacity in the developing world, and focusing on encouraging the next generation.

The Crawford Fund, as a small non-government organisation, is proud to work in partnership with Australia’s State and Territory departments, research agencies, universities and private individuals in our activities, as well as with Australians and in-country project staff  of the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR), our largest donor.

The theme of this year’s annual report is “A New Strategy for the Future”. If you are interested in reading more, you can find our 2018-2023 Strategic Plan on our website. Our efforts to engage young Australians in international agricultural research are growing and proving to be successful, with a larger group involved as our conference scholars and student awardees, and a growing network in Researchers in Agriculture for International Development (RAID Network), which we now proudly have as a program.

As you will read in this report, our success is due to the willingness of Australians, young and old, to contribute their time, freely to our endeavours. We thank them for their passion and interest.
