The publication “Tropical Dairy Farming” by Dr John Moran was launched at a well-attended event in Kuala Lumpar.
To communicate his experience to a Malaysian audience, the publication has been translated and was released on 20 March.
Dr John Moran is a retired Australian senior research and advisory scientist from Victoria’s Department of Primary Industries (DPI). John’s experience comes from advising dairy farmers in Australia and working with dairy farmers and advisers in South and East Asia.
In developing countries, the dairy industry has an important role to play in food and nutritional security. To assist Asian countries develop their local milk industries, the Crawford Fund has supported a number of dairy books over the years by John.
The books are available to download on-line from CSIRO Publishing, on English, free of charge.
The Malaysian translation makes John’s knowledge accessible to a wider audience.
