The Sir John Crawford Memorial Address has been held annually since 1985 in honour of the remarkable Australian in whose name the Crawford Fund was established. He contributed at the highest levels to the development of Australia and other countries, and passionately supported international agricultural research for development. The address will be presented in 2015 by Dr Cary Fowler, biodiversity conservationist and former executive director of the Global Crop Diversity Trust. Dr Fowler will be introduced by The Hon Tim Fischer AC, former Deputy PM and chair of the Crawford Fund and current vice chair of the executive board of the Global Crop Diversity Trust.
