The Sir John Crawford Memorial Address has been held annually since 1985 in honour of the remarkable Australian in whose name the Crawford Fund was established. He contributed at the highest levels to the development of Australia and other countries, and passionately supported international agricultural research for development.
This year’s Sir John Crawford Memorial Address, Food, Climate Change and National Security, was presented by Ms Frances Adamson, Secretary, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Our specially styled networking dinner enabled participants to meet colleagues and make new connections with a wide variety of peers from across industries and regions in an enjoyable and more relaxed format than a formally seated dinner.
The Vote of Thanks was given by Professor Andrew Campbell, Chief Executive Officer, ACIAR.
During the evening we announced the winner of the Crawford Fund 2018 Food Security Journalism Award.
