Ângela Manjichi trained in agronomic engineering (Eduardo Mondlane University, Mozambique), and in environmental management (University of Notre Dame, Australia), before joining the Instituto Superior Politécnico de Manica (ISPM) in Mozambique. At the ISPM she works as an assistant lecturer in the Department of Agriculture at ISPM, and was involved in management as the Director of the Business Incubator Centre, and the Deputy Director-General for Academics and Research position she held until 2017 when she started her PhD Program in Community Sustainability. She has experience on smallholder farming systems and was involved in several research and development programs, including the SIMLESA and Studying African Farmer Led Irrigation. Ângela’s research is focused on sustainable intensification of agricultural and food systems, diffusion and adoption of technologies, gender, and socio-ecological systems.
