Dr Catherine Bertini gave the Sir John Crawford Memorial Address which was followed by a Networking Dinner.

During the evening, two presentations were also made:

• Assoc Prof Robyn Alders AO received a Crawford Fund Medal for her contribution to food security and nutrition, through animal health work.
• The Hon John Kerin AM was appointed ICRISAT International Ambassador of Goodwill. As an ICRISAT Ambassador of Goodwill, Mr Kerin has agreed to champion the need for science-based solutions for farming in the fight against poverty, hunger, malnutrition and environmental degradation.
